Is employee turnover high in your organisation?

Did you know that how employees feel about the leadership style of their bosses impacts the business performance of your organisation?

According to a recent study, managing employees with pressure tactics resulted in more than a 90% increase in the predicted turnover of employees, while using more inspirational tactics was related to roughly a 68% decrease in likely turnover (C. S. Reina, Virginia Commonwealth University). As a business skills development trainer I work with clients who might come across as intimidating, as well as those who are dealing with a toxic boss on a daily basis and studies like the above are the reason why emotional intelligence (EQ) is an essential part of my coaching conversations.
